How to Roll a Joint
Do you enjoy cannabis but have never quite gotten the hang of rolling a joint? Many of us have had the same experience. Using a bowl, blunt, bong, or other methods are great, but sometimes a joint is the way to get the perfect dose—not too much, but not too little—for your needs. Luckily, our expert joint roller, Nasya, is here to help!
Our goal at 7 Stars is to help you discover the benefits of the cannabis plant. This video will teach you one of the basic skills—rolling a joint—to get the benefit of the plant with fast onset and a controllable dose.
If this is your first time smoking, we recommend a “start low and go slow” approach. Check this blog post and video for a helpful walk-through on how to smoke cannabis the first time.
How to Roll a Joint, Step by Step
Here are the basic steps to rolling a joint:
Roll a filter, or “crutch.”
Grind the flower by taking out a nug and putting it in the grinder. Twist the top and grind it up.
Sprinkle some flower into the rolling paper. Make a row that is a little smaller than a pencil.
Make sure the adhesive side is up, and away from you.
Put the filter in one end. This is the end you will inhale from.
Hold the paper between your thumb and index finger and roll the side that is closest to you toward the adhesive.
You roll it away from you, and stop when only the adhesive is showing.
Lick the adhesive and roll it tight.
If you did all the steps and now have a joint, congratulations! If it didn’t quite work, get a new piece of paper and try again. It’s a little difficult, but most people can figure it out after a few tries.
